Anniversary Challenge Coins

A set of challenge coins that commemorates employees’ anniversary milestones. Employees all receive their custom coin holder along with challenge coins at 5, 10, 15 years etc.

Role: This was truly a team effort on the creative team. I did not create the illustrations or come up with the concept for this project. I led and facilitated a group brainstorm for overall concepts, then presented and sold concepts to stakeholders. After the concept was developed, two designers worked on the coin designs, one on the backs and one on the animals for the fronts. I worked with them to develop and ensure design consistency across the designs, then prepared and sent out coins for manufacture. Alongside that, I worked with an outside vendor to develop the custom stands.

The backs of the challenge coins fit together to create a continuous mountain scape, the ascension symbolizes an employees’ upward growth throughout their years of employment.

The choice of the animals was intentional, referencing animals that are commonly hunted, with the more rare hunts being later years. Along with the bald eagle and the buffalo which have significance in the Vortex company culture.
